Charlotte Tilbury launches new gel

CHARLOTTE TILBURY cut her teeth as a make-up artist to the stars and has been dominating the beauty industry for decades.

So when her eponymous brand releases a new skincare product – especially a new version of the viral (and award-winning) bestseller, Magic Cream – our ears prick up.

From her celebrity-status Pillow Talk lipstick to the cult favourite Hollywood Flawless Filter wand, Charlotte Tilbury’s skincare and beauty products are a staple in many beauty fan's kit.

Case-in-point: Charlotte’s Magic Cream, which has been hydrating and plumping the faces of beauty lovers and celebrities alike for the best part of ten years.

Now, a decade after the brand’s staple product launched, Charlotte Tilbury has unveiled a new version of the cult moisturiser: Charlotte’s Magic Water Cream.

The fragrance-free, gel-cream moisturiser is touted as a lighter version of the original Magic Cream, but no less hydrating.

Coming in at £79 for 50ml, the hydrating formula does more than just moisturise short-term.

The new moisturising gel-based formula also comes in a handy 15ml jar for £26, perfect for on-the-go or your hand-luggage.

The Magic Water Cream is touted as having a lightweight bouncy gel-cream formula that hydrates, smooths and plumps skin whilst helping to balance thirsty, dehydrated skin.

According to the brand, it “drenches like a water cream and visibly revives like a magic cream for a dewy, glass-like, fresh water glow”.

On the release of the new hydrating formula, Charlotte Tilbury said: “I call it the magic water fountain of youth and luminosity in a jar.”

The water cream's ingredients includes niacinamide, the multitasking ingredient that helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, pores and redness.

It also features a bio peptide complex, which boost collagen production and helps to repair the skin barrier (the key to a smooth skin tone and texture).

But don’t just take our word for it.

Clinical trials by the brand showed pores appeared reduced by 54% and skin tone appeared 69% more even within 28 seconds of applying the Magic Water Cream.

Longer term, in the same trials, the brand found that redness was reduced by 100%, while skin texture was 74% smoother within 28 days of use.
